Fine dining restaurant in Sorrento

Vesuvio Panoramic Restaurant occupies the rooftop of Hotel Mediterraneo, facing Mount Vesuvius beyond the expanse of the Gulf of Naples.

Here, contemporary Campanian cuisine is served in an elegant setting with uninterrupted sea views. Open terraces and tasteful interiors create a sumptuous environment interplaying with nature.

The experience is shaped by both precision and a deep respect for regional ingredients. Vesuvio is an evening destination where cuisine and horizon share equal presence.

A Table with a View of the Gulf

Under the direction of Chef Nicola Celentano, Vesuvio interprets the flavors of Campania with clarity and modern structure.

Seafood from local waters, seasonal produce, citrus from the peninsula, and carefully sourced ingredients form the foundation of each plate. Technique enhances, never overwhelms, allowing the character of the region to remain central.

Mount Vesuvius rises in the background and the coastline embraces Hotel Mediterraneo, providing a powerful accompaniment to the cuisine which celebrates this land.

An Evening Above Sorrento

Dinner at Vesuvio begins the moment dusk settles across the Gulf.

An aperitivo may welcome the tone before the menu commences through refined courses designed for an indulgent evening. Service is always attentive yet discreet, allowing conversation and view to take precedence.

As the sun touches the islands of Ischia and Procida, the terrace transforms into one of the Sorrento Coast’s most compelling vantage points.

The Menu

The menu follows the seasons and the landscape that surrounds it.

Guests may choose from the à la carte selection or follow one of the tasting paths, conceived to reflect the freshest ingredients of the moment. Among them, La Terra e la Casa offers a more intimate narrative inspired by traditional feast-day dishes and the aromas of early twentieth-century Sunday mornings, when the hotel was still a private home and Nonna Etta presided over the stove. It is a tribute to memory, interpreted with contemporary refinement.

Seafood, handmade pasta, composed meat dishes and desserts are served with consideration to Campanian heritage.

The wine programme accompanies the experience. Guided by our expert sommelier, guests are invited to explore both celebrated Italian labels and smaller, distinctive local producers.
