Where are you from? And your partner? When and why did you choose to get married abroad?
We are both from Worcestershire, England. We always knew we wanted to get married abroad so as soon as we were engaged we began looking for the perfect destination.
How many people you thought to invited and how many people were there the day of the wedding?
We invited 70 guests and 48 attended the day of the wedding.
Why did you pick Sorrento?
We first visited for my (Joanne) 30th birthday and loved it. The charm, the cobbled streets, the beautiful scenery and the food!
Why did you choose the Hotel Mediterraneo for your wedding? Did the reality meet your expectations? Did decorations, flowers, hospitality and staff satisfy your expectations?
We fell in love its hotel because of the location and unique style. Hotel Mediterraneo offers an upmarket style but has very easy-going approach. The views from the Vista Sky Bar are amazing! From the first time we met Alessia we felt comfortable and she made sure all our requested were fulfilled throughout.
The whole wedding completely surpassed our expectations, it was truly incredible.
Did you use a wedding planner to organize your wedding?
We booked the wedding directly with the Hotel.
Why did you choose to have a civil wedding? Tell us a bit more about your ceremony
We chose to be legally married in Piano di Sorrento at the Villa Fondi, just a mile far from the Hotel. We loved the view from the wedding venue.
From 1 to 10 how difficult you will rate the experience to organize a wedding abroad?
No difficultly at all. Everything was explained in full detail. Alessia thought of everything and gave help and guidance with the legal paperwork. She is amazing.
Are you happy with the suppliers provided by the hotel?
All supplies very fantastic, very professional. The musicians for the day and the wedding photographer were particularly good.
Budget: were you satisfied about the monetary value of your wedding? Did the budget come up clearly during the planning?
We were happy with the cost of the wedding, everything was explained and all extras were costed separately so we could add as we went along.
What is the best memory you have about your wedding in Sorrento?
What would you change about your wedding abroad experience?
The whole day was perfect. The guests faces when they saw the Vista Sky Bar and the beautiful sunset were special moments though.
